Montefiorale, Cortona, and Venice

Today was Billy and I’s 30 year wedding anniversary. We had the best day! We started our day before sunrise by taking a hot air balloon ride with Jeannie, Lee and Lee Slocum. It was absolutely amazing!

Then three groups went to different places. We drove to Greve in Chianti and took a small hike up to Montefiorale. 

Montefiorale was so charming. The prettiest ancient town we have seen with all stone buildings cobblestone streets. 

We ate lunch with a gorgeous view.

Jodi and Michelle took the train to Venice and loved it. 

Heidi, Amelia, Brian, Ellen, John and Becky went to Cortona and visited a monestary.

Florence

Yesterday we all took the bus to Florence. We stayed all day and saw so many sites.

We walked to Ponte Vechio a famous bridge with many gold jewelry stores. 

We walked and had delicious sandwiches for lunch.

We hiked up to Piazza Michelangelo. It was a nice walk and the views were amazing.

Tuscany Italy

We arrived in Tuscany on Saturday. There are 13 of us and eight of us will turn 60 this year. We planned this trip to celebrate our 60th birthdays. We are staying in a beautiful Villa and the weather is perfect. 

On Sunday we did an amazing 18 mile e-bike ride through the Tuscan hills. 

At the end of the bike ride we went to a beautiful winery for a wine tasting. 

At night we went to a local charming restaurant in such a nice setting. It was a great day!
